In Wikipedia you can read:
A quotation is the repetition of one expression as part of another one, particularly when the quoted expression is well- known or explicitly attributed by citation to its original source.
Quotations are used for a variety of reasons: to illuminate the meaning or to support the arguments of the work in which it is being quoted, to provide direct information about the work being quoted (whether in order to discuss it, positively or negatively), to pay homage to the original work or author, to make the user of the quotation seem well- read.
Quotations are also commonly printed as a means of inspiration and to invoke philosophical thoughts from the reader.
I would like to share with you some of my favorite quotes.
The first one, I think that is very deep and makes you think about the things you have done and those things that you are planning to do:
“God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference”. Reinhold Neibuhr- was an American theologian, commentator on politics and public affairs, ethicist, public intellectual.
I can´t agree more with this second quote “ The best revenge is massive success.” Frank Sinatra- was an American singer , actor, director and producer.
I would like to end with this funny saying: “A father carries pictures where his money used to be.” Funny, funny…….. but so true.
